Tell us how you met…
“Graeme and I met back in October 2004 when we worked for the Civil Service and we instantly hit it off remaining friends until 2011 when we eventually got together.”
What was your overall plan for the wedding? What did you want for the day?
“We wanted something people would remember for years to come and we wanted to share the day with our closest family and friends. We didn’t want a huge event and we wanted everyone to feel comfortable and have a great time.”
Any funny stories from the wedding?
“Our five year old page boy crying during the service and when we asked him what was wrong he simply said ‘I’m just so happy’ – it was such a sweet thing to say for such a small person “
How did you choose your photographer?
“We met Chris and Shazia at a wedding fayre back in 2014 and straight away we felt relaxed and comfortable with them and their work was amazing, really bright and colourful, it was exactly what we wanted. Chris offered to come to our home to talk us through their packages which was amazing, he was the only photographer to do that for us, everyone else wanted to sign us there and then but Chris didn’t, he wanted to talk to us about what you they could offer and true to his word he came to our home even offering us more time to think. There was no pressure and communication was fantastic throughout.”
How did you choose your venue? Would you recommend the venue to future couples?
“Graeme used to go to school in Wallsend and walked through the grounds regularly. In 2014 my friends mam was married there and the pictures looked fab. We called and arranged an appointment and booked there and then as it has sentimental value to the groom and grooms family”
Advice for other brides and grooms?
“The little things that seem so big really don’t matter. Relax and enjoy the build up and make sure you spend at least 15 minutes together in the big day. Treasure every memory from the day as it really is the best day of your life.”
The photographs you see above were taken on a Canon 5D mk iii and a Canon 7D mk ii camera using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Single Photographer Package which gave them one photographer for the whole day.
