Frances & Peter Dobby
Tell us how you met…
“Pete and I used to work in the same department, he sat just a few feet away from me. After some sneaky setting up our work colleagues finally got us together on a work night out”
What was your overall plan for the wedding? What did you want for the day?
“We wanted something relaxed, informal, fun and full of love. We wanted everything our way…and that’s what we had. A fabulous and personal ceremony, delicious food, great wine and a fantastic band with everyone on the dancefloor.”
Any funny stories from the wedding?
“Not really…only the sheep poo on my green shoes after shazia took us up on to the nearby moors 🙂 Was worth it though for some epic shots. Oh and my Dad playing his braces like a cello.”
How did you choose your photographer?
“Recommendation from someone we know. Made the decision really easy and we loved the video online with the recommendations. Didn’t need to look elsewhere.”
How did you choose your venue? Would you recommend the venue to future couples?
“As soon as we heard about Fairfield House we knew it was the perfect place for us to be able to do and have whatever we wanted. It’s a beautiful house with loads of outdoor space, lovely garden full of nature, great views, plenty of room for friends and family to stay and we could have the place to ourselves for the full week! Oh and the hot tub and games room had something to do with it too. Would definitely recommend it, without a doubt.”
Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Having a rehearsal is definitely worth it. Don’t try and eat 2 pieces of cake in a tight wedding dress. Make sure in the run up to the wedding you make time to relax with each other.”
The photographs you see above were taken on a Canon 5D mk iii and a Canon 7D mk ii camera using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Single Photographer Package which gave them one photographer for the whole day.
