This wedding could have had so many “the one with” names. There were so many background stories but the story about how they met won this one.
Aimee and Andy met while they were both working at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. Aimee had since moved back over to the UK while Andy was still based out in Orlando, so for that reason we hadn’t met Andy prior to the wedding day, but with all his family safely in the UK, we headed out to meet them on a nippy winter morning.
Chris arrived at the Ramside Hall to greet Aimee, just as Shazia arrived at a lovely little B&B just down the road where Andy was getting ready. There were so many little detail shots to get. The flowers had all been handmade by a friend and looked incredible. We loved how they had them resting in Starbuck cups.
After capturing some great photographs in the morning, it was time for Andy and the boys to head over to the Ramside to meet and greet their guests. All of Andy’s guests had travelled over from the states, with his immediate family travelling from Tampa and his best man coming all the way from LA. Jet lagged or not, they were all in great spirits.
When all the guests were arrived and seated, we all headed downstairs for a beautiful ceremony that took place overlooking the gardens. After the ceremony had finished, there was time for a bit of mingling before we took guests outside for some group photographs. With the daylight disappearing by the second, we had to be quick. In timely fashion though, we managed to get the group shots done, and even managed to get 10 or 15 minutes with our couple before we headed inside for the speeches.
After the meal, we did some more photographs of the bridal party. With it being dark outside, we opted to take them in front of the lovely fireplace. Not necessarily “different”, but lovely and it fitted the theme of the wedding and time of year perfectly.
There was still time to do some more couple photographs outside in the garden before we headed inside to capture the evening party. Andy’s dad, Dale, had prepared a slideshow showing Andy and Aimee growing up and their relationship over the time they’ve been together. It was lovely and a really nice, personal touch.
Afterwards it was time to cut the cake and let our newlyweds have their first dance together before the rest of the wedding party joined them to party the night away.
The photographs you see above were taken on a Canon 5D mk iii and a Canon 7D mk ii camera using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Two Photographer Package which gave them two photographer for the whole day.
