Horton Grange Hotel was the Where, 9th May 2015 was the When and another amazing wedding day was the Why. We were back from our little jollies in Spain and back to photograph Paul and Vicky’s big day with a bang.
We started the day by going to see the lads. Although we were told the lads were all setting off particularly early, it came as no surprise to find Paul greeting us still in his pyjamas when we arrived. Once they were all showered, we captured Paul getting suited and booted followed by some more shots of the boys getting ready.
After this we headed up to Horton Grange to meet up with Vicky, who had her hair and make up already done by the time we arrived, but there was still some incredible moments still to capture. Vicky’s mum arrived shortly after and had made Vicky a doll as a present for the big day, along with some other very personal items. It was lovely. The girls were all excited as they got themselves into their dressed and more guests arrived while Vicky got into her dress.
There was plenty of time for photo opportunities before the girls headed downstairs for the ceremony. Because the weather had been a bit on-off all morning, they decided to have their ceremony indoors to be safe. It was lovely. The room was beautifully decorated and the ceremony was lovely.
Following this, we headed outside for some family photographs, while an acoustic guitarist and singer entertained guests. After this we headed inside for speeches and the wedding breakfast followed.
As we rolled into the evening, Paul and Vicky had managed to have a little drink and were nice and relaxed to head outside and capture some shots of the two of them. We got some great photos. We didn’t do a huge amount but it’s was all about the quality instead of the quantity with this couple. They didn’t want to spent ages having their photos taken… they wanted to be with their guests.
As the evening went into full swing, Paul and Vicky cut their cake then Switch (the band) played for their first dance. Once guests joined them on the dance floor there was nothing left to do but party the night away.
The photographs you see above were taken on two Canon 5D mk iii cameras using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked our Standard Combine Package which gave them one photographer and a wedding movie for the whole day.
