Following on from our first Tipi wedding last year, we returned to the land of the tipi as we headed out for the wedding of Mark and Abigail. It was the weekend of the Sunderland Airshow, but traffic aside we got rocking and rolling late morning.
We arrived at Abi’s the capture the bride to be and her family getting ready. We managed to get some lovely shots in the morning and we were particularly big fan of the style that Abi and Mark had gone for throughout the whole wedding.
After spending a couple of hours at Abi’s house, we headed out to the church in anticipation of the bride’s arrival. We managed to capture a few shots of Mark and his best man, as well as some shots of guests taking their seats and finally Abi arrived to begin the ceremony.
After the ceremony we did a confetti shot at the church before guests headed to Seaham Cricket Club where the tipi was, while we headed off elsewhere for half an hour to get some photos are Mark and Abigail together. We headed to a woodland area behind Seaham Hall hotel and down to the beach for some lovely shots of our newlyweds.
Then it was off to the tipi where we got the family and friend shots done and dusted quickly so everyone could enjoy the rest of their day in peace. The tipi was beautifully decorated inside and out, so while guests enjoyed some lawn games (giant jenga), we managed to capture some details inside the tipi. So much time had gone into the little details we wanted to make sure they were all captured.
After this it was time for the speeches followed by an afternoon picnic for all the guests. It didn’t seem like 2 minutes later before they announced that the Great Wedding Bake-off was open. As well as getting a cake, guests made cakes and then there was a competition as well as prizes for the winners of the best cakes.
There was more time for some photos after the meal which gave enough time for Longhorns to arrive and set up to provide the evening catering. Before guests filled their plates however, the couple had their first dance, guests joined them and it all capped off a truly fun and relaxing day for an amazing couple and their guests.
The photographs you see above were taken on a Canon 5D mk iii and a Canon 7D mk ii camera using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Single Photographer Package which gave them one photographer for the whole day.
