2016 has been a year of firsts for us and May 6th 2016 took us to Doxford Hall for the first time to photograph Jason and Olivia’s wedding day.
We arrived early in the morning at Livvy’s house where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and family. The girls took their time getting their hair and makeup done before getting into their dresses. The rush was on as time got closer and after a few quick photographs outside with the camper van, we headed north.
Once we arrived at Doxford Hall, we went straight to the ceremony room to get ready. We managed to capture photographs of Livvy and her dad arriving before we headed in for the ceremony.
Livvy and Jason had made arrangements for a barn owl, Chloe, to fly the rings down the isle. Unfortunately, because the room was so warm, Chloe developed a little stage fright, and by that we mean that she feel asleep on top of the curtain rails.
Everyone was thoroughly entertained and it provided great entertainment for all the guests. Once the ceremony was over we headed outside with our newlyweds for some quick photographs of them alone with Chloe and the campervan. Once they were done, the guests joined them and spent some time capturing the requested group photographs.
We arranged the guests into a heart shape, and after some more family photogaphs, it was time for guests to head inside for the wedding breakfast.
After speeches, we took our couple out to do some couple photographs. Upon return, it was time for the evening do to start, and after a lovely first dance, the party official started.
They had a really cool band performing which had guests up dancing all night long to cap a really fun, amazing day.
The photographs you see above were taken on a Canon 5D mk iii and a Canon 7D mk ii camera using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Single Photographer Package which gave them one photographer for the whole day.
