Natalie and Nathan’s Wedding Details
Tell us how you met…
“We met each other at University in 2006 (Nathan tells us). It was the first day at University that I saw Natalie and we officially met when put in the same class a few days later. When put in our relevant classes, Natalie made the mistake of sitting with the wrong class. However, because I liked her I made sure she sat with us and the correct team.”
What was your overall plan for the wedding? What did you want for the day?
“Relaxed atmosphere and for all our guests to enjoy themselves. We tried to not be constrained by timings and tried to let everything flow naturally.
We wanted a real party atmosphere for the evening reception and that really came through with our band and DJ. Overall we wanted an amazing day to celebrate with our friends and family.”
Any funny stories from the wedding?
“I fluffed my words on the opening section of the ceremony and unfortunately struggled with the word ‘solemnly’ – even after a few attempts!
Also during our first dance we had a power cut because our guests where to loud! The whooping coupled with the music was enough to hit the maximum noise level so all the power cut off about one minute in! All of our guests thought it was part of the dance and that we would be doing some sort of a break dance! Thankfully for us we started the dance again and was so much better the second time!”
How did you choose your photographer?
“We booked Chocolate Chip through word of mouth and after seeing the photographs from a wedding that one of our friends attended. After meeting with Chris and Shazia, we got on so well with them and they made us feel so comfortable and were so helpful with everything. It was an easy choice.”
How did you choose your venue? Would you recommend the venue to future couples?
“We chose the venue within minutes. We knew about Eaves Hall from a couple of years ago as we buy our Christmas tree from a nursery just next door and we’ve always wanted to get married there since we first saw it. We booked the venue the first time we ever set foot inside! Absolutely recommend Eaves Hall to anyone!!”
Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Take everything in! Enjoy it! Everything goes so fast and there’s so many blink and you’ll miss it moments! It really is the best day of your life and it means everything to have all your friends and family celebrate with you. It’s a surreal experience and it’s almost like it’s not happening! My one biggest recommendation would be to get a Videographer, as the day after the wedding all you want to do is relive the memories back again and there’s no better way to do it!”
The photographs you see above were taken on two Canon 5D mk iii’s using a variety of different lenses.
The couple booked the Standard Combine Package which gave them One photographer and a wedding movie for the whole day.
